Your Finance Team

Your Finance Team is continuing in our efforts to provide the members of our Ocean View family with complete and current information about our financial situation. Each week this year, we've provided a Bulletin Insert that gives a Year-to-Date snapshot view of how we're doing (as a church) toward meeting our Budget and Mortgage. That summary information also provides Giving information for the prior week.

In our discussions with many of our church members and leaders, we have heard that some are interested in Summary information, while others are interested in more detail about our Giving and our church Budget. As a result, we are making some changes to the way information is made available to the congregation at Ocean View.

Each week, we will continue to provide the "Summary" Bulletin insert we've been using. But, on the first Sunday of each month, we will begin providing a more comprehensive look at the General Fund, the Mortgage, and other important information. We chose the first Sunday of each month for this because on those Sundays we will be able to give you complete Year-to-date data, through the end of the prior month. Additionally, each month we will post the Year-to-date Treasurer's Report (through the end of the prior month) on the website, so that current, complete information is available for those who would like to see more. Just download the PDF file from this web page, and you'll have a complete copy of the Budget and the Actual Giving and Expenses, by category.

As you can see from the attached Treasurer's Report, our giving is pretty significantly behind our budget so far this year. We've worked with church Leadership to find ways to reduce expenses, and because of you, we were able to pay off the Second Mortgage, a huge benefit to our cash flow. We ask that you continue to pray for our church and for our finances.

Our God can accomplish anything, and we give Him all the glory!
