Ocean View Members Care Ministries
Some are called to minister to each other within our Ocean View Church Community. By sharing the love of Christ “In House,” they present a positive witness to the world.
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.” Romans 12:12-13
HOMEBOUND/SHUT-INS VISITATION MINISTRY
Ministers to those who are not always able to attend church services by visiting them in their homes or nursing centers distributing devotional materials and offering prayers.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS
The Health and Wellness Team meets every first and third Wednesday of the month at 11:30-12:30. This team plans events, blood drives and classes offered for education on mind, body and soul. For more information email Jill Smith ovhealthwellness@gmail.com
TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY
Transportation Ministry is available for our members who need rides to medical appointments. If you need transportation contact the Church Office at 910-278-5973 to coordinate your transportation need.
Grief Support Group
“The Grief Support Group meets at 4:00 PM on the first and third Thursdays of each month in the Gathering Place” *Please read below for more information on the Grief Support Group.
*The Grief Support Group – Beginning Thursday, September 3, the group will discuss Inside the Broken Heart by Julie Yarbrough. The Rev. Brian Gould, a retired United Methodist pastor from the Upper New York Annual Conference, will facilitate the group. He brings pastoral experience from serving in local church ministries and as a hospice chaplain.
